This is one of my biggest engagement photo tips, have fun! Karsen and Matt have been together since college. They have seen each other through a lot of different seasons of life, and continue to choose each other. There’s something so special about that. The love they have for each other is so obvious when you are around them. Can you tell I’m a sucker for a good love story?! Karsen and Matt brought a 6 pack of their favorite beers and did a cheers at the end of our session. It was so much fun and just let them be themselves. Find what that is to you and your partner, and let’s have some fun!

Engagement Photo Tips: Wear Clothes you Feel Good In!

Believe it or not, the clothing choices you make for your engagement session play a huge role in how you feel!  Your outfits will play a big role in how comfortable you are in front of the camera. Karsen and Matt wanted their photos to be casual and comfortable. They chose outfits they loved that also gave that vibe! We started at a local studio space to get a more “in-home” feel. It was so cozy and cute! Then we adventured outside during golden hour to get a little variety. Downtown was the perfect area and they did an outfit change to a more dressier choice! I always recommend to do an outfit change, it’s so fun and also give a variety to your gallery!

Engagement Photo Tips: Treat It Like a Date!

You engagement photos are to shine light on you as a couple and the special bond you have! What better way to truly capture that then to actually plan a fun date night.  Have fun with your engagement photos, and don’t take yourself too seriously. Karsen and Matt weren’t afraid to laugh at themselves. In fact, they honestly laughed the entire session! Their light hearted attitude made for the most fun photos and session! They are down for literally whatever and trust the vision.
